Dhonden Tenzin is a second-year Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner student, completing his preceptorship under Mike Chism, APRN, PMHNP-BC at the Mile High Psychiatry (MHP) headquarters in Aurora, CO. Professionally, he has been a registered nurse for over seven years, currently working for the In-patient Behavioral Health Services at Boulder Community Health (BCH). His compassion for patient care, along with his passion for Mental and Behavioral Health, are main reasons that drive him in seeking an Advanced Practice role. Dhonden’s values of patient centered care aligns well with MHP’s. When he is not at school or working at BCH, he enjoys spending time with his family.
His hobbies include mindfulness meditation, lifting weights, running(light), and ‘getting buckets’ aka playing basketball. He feels rather blessed with this preceptorship opportunity at MHP under Mike’s guidance. Finally, he is looking forward in continuing to learn, grow and contribute at MHP towards ‘helping you become the best you.
