Bio:

Elizabeth Selander is a board-certified, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who focuses on using a patient-centered collaborative and comprehensive approach when treating patients and supporting families. Over the past 20 years, she has dedicated her career to mental health and wellness. Educated through Pepperdine University, Regis University and Purdue University programs, Elizabeth comes with a vast educational and experiential background. Most recently, Elizabeth has over a decade of experience at Children’s Hospital Colorado, working in mental health both inpatient and throughout the community. Her time in schools, in crisis inpatient units, and as a mental health advocate for promoting legislation that helps kids throughout the state of Colorado have prepared her as an excellent outpatient provider.

Elizabeth’s passion for best practice includes working together with patients and all members of their healthcare team to combine lifestyle adjustments, brief psychotherapy and medication management to improve quality of life as well as thorough genetic testing and specific screenings to help each patient achieve optimal results. Pediatric, adolescent and adult issues surrounding suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, addiction, emotional disturbances, trauma, bipolar disorder, behavioral issues, sleep problems, troubled thought patterns, difficult life transitions, and attention issues are areas that she has a depth of experience in. Individualized, holistic care that meets the patient where they are and gets them to where they want to be are fundamental to Elizabeth’s philosophy. In her personal time, Elizabeth is devoted to her 5 core values: Faith, Family, Fitness, Finances and Friendships. She can be found hanging with her family, practicing her spirituality, incorporating physical movement, budgeting and investing in deep, meaningful friendships throughout her community.
