Bio:
Kristin is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a diverse background in nursing. She began her career working in a maximum custody prison before transitioning into palliative and hospice care. She later moved into both inpatient and outpatient child psychiatry at Children’s Hospital of Colorado, all while continuing to provide on-call nursing for palliative and hospice care. In addition to her clinical work, she also teaches CNA students during their clinical rotations.
Kristin works with clients ages 18 and older, providing support for a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, mild to moderate alcohol abuse, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, and more. She takes a holistic approach to care—focusing on the mind, body, and soul—and conducts comprehensive assessments that consider each client’s experiences, current needs, and challenges.
When appropriate and desired by the client, Kristin incorporates supplements such as vitamins, minerals, and herbs into treatment plans. She also collaborates with other practitioners to offer additional holistic options including psychotherapies, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, exercise, and nutritional support.
Her goal is to help clients improve their mental health for the long term, rather than offering temporary relief for current symptoms. Kristin strives to ensure that clients feel heard, validated, and supported, while working in partnership with them and their care teams to promote lasting well-being and quality of life both now and in the future.
