Jessica Ashby is a dedicated and compassionate Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), specializing in the comprehensive treatment of mental health disorders across diverse patient populations. Inspired by the personal impact mental health has had on her family and friends, she chose this career path to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges. With over 20 years of experience in nursing, Jessica integrates a holistic, biopsychosocial approach into her practice, emphasizing the interconnectedness of mental, physical, and social health. She strives to deliver individualized care that aligns with each patient’s unique needs.

Jessica’s philosophy emphasizes the pivotal role mental health plays in overall well-being, believing that fostering mental health enhances resilience, supports recovery, and optimizes patient outcomes. Jessica looks forward to meeting patients where they are on their journey to wellness, providing them with education on available treatment options, and ensuring they are well-informed and actively engaged in their care.

Jessica earned her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2003 from Big Bend Community College, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2015, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2023. Throughout her extensive nursing career, she has gained experience in a wide range of clinical settings. Her nursing experience has sharpened her advanced assessment skills and enabled a smooth transition into her current role as a psychiatric provider. In her psychiatric training and practice, Jessica has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, cultivating a deep understanding of both acute and chronic mental health conditions.

A lifelong learner, Jessica is committed to her professional development and participates in continuing education opportunities to stay at the forefront of psychiatric nursing. Outside of her clinical practice, she enjoys cooking, baking, outdoor activities, traveling, and home improvement projects. She values spending quality time with friends and family, which enriches her ability to connect meaningfully with her patients.
