Donna Evans

Bio:

Donna Evans, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C is a dual certified psychiatric mental health and family nurse practitioner. She completed her undergraduate degree in nursing at the University of South Alabama and has worked in several different aspects of nursing to include emergency, postoperative, intensive care, and interventional radiology. She returned to school in 2011, earning a masters degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She served the community of Colorado Springs, Colorado as a Family Nurse Practitioner for nearly 8 years. After moving to GA, she worked as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit during the pandemic, then returned to school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, earning a post master’s certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

Prior to becoming a PMHNP, Donna worked in various challenging and rewarding environments that shaped her approach to mental health care. She gained valuable experience and developed a keen understanding of the importance of a compassionate approach. She is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where her patients feel heard and respected. Empathy and genuine connection are key to building a trusting relationship and fostering positive outcomes.
