Bio:
Kristin is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She began her nursing career in a maximum custody prison before transitioning to palliative and hospice care. She later worked in both inpatient and outpatient child psychiatry at Children’s Hospital of Colorado, while also providing on-call nursing support for palliative and hospice patients. In addition to her clinical roles, Kristin teaches CNA students during their clinical rotations.
She works with clients ages 18 and older, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, mild to moderate alcohol use, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Kristin takes a holistic approach to care—focusing on the mind, body, and soul—conducting comprehensive assessments that explore each client’s history, current challenges, and needs.
When appropriate and desired by the client, she incorporates supplements such as vitamins, minerals, or herbs into the treatment plan, and may also refer to practitioners offering complementary holistic services such as psychotherapy, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, exercise, and nutritional support.
Kristin is committed to helping clients improve their mental health for the long term—not just providing a temporary fix for current symptoms. Her goal is for clients to feel heard and validated, while working collaboratively with them and their care teams to achieve and maintain the best possible quality of life now and in the future.
