Bio:
Travis DeAngelis is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over ten years of healthcare experience. He started his healthcare career as an EMT, but as he reflected on his journey through adolescence, marked with misdiagnosis, substance use issues, and severe depression, he began to realize that his passion was not in emergency medicine but in mental health treatment.
His experiences navigating and overcoming his difficulties have profoundly influenced his professional approach. He is dedicated to providing empathetic, patient-centered care, with his primary specialty being addiction and substance use disorders. Travis focuses on finding the root cause of addiction, which is often an underlying mental health condition such as depression, anxiety, autism, ADHD, or personality disorders.
Travis employs a harm reduction model and offers non-judgmental, holistic treatment and advocacy for those navigating mental health challenges, ensuring they receive the compassionate and comprehensive care they deserve.
Outside of work, Travis likes to play modern board games and racquetball. He also enjoys woodworking, axe throwing, and target shooting. He is the Dogfather to 3 delightful pups and 1 grumpy Husky.
