Bio:

After Kwang’s first career in finance left him desiring to do more to help others, he decided to become a nurse. Kwang received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) in 2013. He spent the first several years of his nursing career working in the emergency department and intensive care unit. Kwang was able to see first-hand the importance of mental health and wellness in the acutely or critically ill or those in a crisis.

He received his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2018 and became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Already understanding the importance of mental health care, Kwang realized the growing need for mental health care providers while in his FNP program. Thus, he decided to further his education and went on to graduate from UTHealth in 2020 with his PMHNP certificate.

During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Kwang traveled around the country and provided emergency and critical nursing care at hospitals overcapacity to ensure patients had the care they needed. He witnessed the toll the pandemic took on so many lives and knew he had made the right decision. We need mental health care now more than ever, and Kwang is here to provide that for you.
