Bio:

Leah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who grew up in the vibrant areas of New Jersey and New York City before moving to Colorado in 2019. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, minoring in criminology, and then graduated magna cum laude from the Advanced Standing Program in Clinical Social Work in 2018. During her graduate studies, Leah studied abroad in Portugal, focusing on the country’s drug decriminalization program. She was an active member of the Ramapo College Honors Program, Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Society, and consistently earned Dean’s List honors.

Leah has spent the majority of her career in forensic social work, including extensive work in correctional facilities and collaboration with law enforcement as a co-responder clinician, helping address mental health crises within the community. She has also maintained a private practice, integrating her specialized knowledge in mental health, crisis intervention, and individualized care.

Specializing in work with adults (ages 18+), Leah focuses on areas including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma (both childhood and adult), self-harm and suicidal ideation, substance dependence, self-esteem, life transitions, chronic illness, and severe and persistent mental health disorders. She also provides a safe therapeutic environment for individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, offering a supportive space of self-discovery, resiliency and empowerment. Leah’s approach is client-centered and integrative, emphasizing a deep, personal understanding of each client’s journey. She thoughtfully combines trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy, and mindfulness techniques to create a treatment plan that’s uniquely tailored to each individual’s needs. In a compassionate, non-judgmental environment, Leah helps clients explore their emotions, improve communication, and develop healthier perspectives for managing life’s challenges.

In her free time, Leah enjoys spending time with family, live music, trips to the ocean, creating art, and being around animals.
